Pilates

Pilates is a system of exercises designed to promote strength, stability, and flexibility. These linear exercises are initiated from core engagement and focus on postural alignment and centering. Pilates improves posture and balance while developing long lean musculature. Using various springs for resistance, the Pilates movements are fluid yet controlled. THE GYROTONIC® METHOD

The Gyrotonic Method addresses the entire body, opening energy pathways, stimulating the nervous system, increasing range of motion, and creating functional strength. Gyrotonic exercise sequences are composed of spiraling, circular movements which flow together seamlessly in rhythmic repetitions with corresponding breath patterns. Each movement flows into the next allowing the joints to move through a natural range of motion without jarring or compressing. These carefully crafted sequences allow the body to work as one harmonious system while improving balance, efficiency, strength, and flexibility.

Sarah can help you find more freedom in your body through the grace of fluid movement and the power of integrated strength. Each movement session is customized according to what you need in that moment while keeping long-term goals in focus. All ages and abilities are welcome. Sarah’s full spectrum of experience includes helping athletes improve their game and rehabilitating recipients of joint replacements and organ transplants.
